I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) in the greater Philadelphia area. I earned my master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from The University of Pennsylvania after receiving a bachelor’s degree in sociology and criminology from The Ohio State University. I believe in the power of therapy and helping people heal has been the driving force behind my work.
As a therapist whose training is in social work, I pay extra attention not just to what’s going on in the mind, but how different systems (family, social, occupational) affect emotional wellbeing. How we relate to ourselves and others is an important aspect of our mental wellbeing that needs just as much attention as the factors that contribute to mental health disorders.
My clinical background includes work training in substance use, family therapy, chronic disease, and a range of mental health disorders. After working in Columbus, OH for a few years and then moving to Philadelphia where I worked at Penn Medicine, I decided to start my own practice to better serve people in my own community.
Therapy should be a space where you feel comfortable and free of judgement, so I strive to welcome every client to take this journey regardless of what your goals are. I am confident that whatever your goals are, we will find a way to reach them together in a way that fits in to your life. I accept all clients regardless of race, religion, sexual orientation, and gender identity.
